A Tidbit Of Trivia

I know I already posted, but I got a call that the kiddos won't be here till noon. I got an email from my big brother after I posted and what he calls me got me thinking. My nickname since I was 3 years old has been Toots. (not the gas kind) but the tootsie roll sound of toots. He has always called me this as being his baby sis. As the years go by, it means more to me everytime he says it. I have two brothers and I love them both bunches as we are all orphans now. So we just have eachother and our kids and their kids and we laugh about being the matriarchs of the family now, as we don't feel grown up yet:)

Do you have a nickname? Want to share it? Feel free to as I'd love to see what yours is:)

Okay, this time I am gone for the day.
Love and Hugs, Laurie

Nicknames? Lordy do I have 'em. To friends I'm Rach, to family Rachy. To my dad I was Bubba and my stepdad called me Hoss. (See where those two were going? I wasn't a "big" girl, but I sure as heck was STRONG!) My grandfather has only nicknamed one of his grandkids--me--and I'm Sunshine Sweetie. :o)

Toots. I like it. :o)

Well I think I am just Cathy, but besides mommy, I bet my kids have some nicknames I wouldn't begin to repeat here. (jk)

nickames: only one word rhymed with "Greg" when I was a kid - "peg." I know, not much fun.

Batman was my college soccer nickname.

And GBat was what a lot of people call me.

Those are the repeatable ones.. :)

Okay,

I realize I only posted my Oldest nickname here. I'd better get in the game here and catch up with you guys.

My honey calls me: Honey, Babe, Curlie Girl, Sweetie Pie, Darlin'(when country music is on) and other personal ones.:)

My sons call me Mom, it gets more special to hear as the years go by and THEY get older as I grow younger.:)

My grandson Isaac calls me Grrramma, he really draws it out. I am also "Silly Grrramma when I am goofing off with him. Hannah says mama, she's only one so it will change as her babbling gets better.

I am Grandma Laurie to all the kids I have adopted in my life.

Mrs. Lloyd to my sons billions of friends who know that "irks me" and now do it just for fun.

And Sis to my baby brother who is 8 years younger than me.

Sissy to my sister in law who has been my sister in love. I am so glad she came with the marriage package.

Laurie in Ca. to blogland for the reason you already know.

So, there you have it, 60 years worth of being called names.

I hope as more of you visit, you will add yours to the list.

I don't know that I have a nickname these days...it seems that my name is Mommy, Mom, Mama...sometimes called out in sheer exasperation, sometimes great frustration, and occasionally, said with great tenderness. :)

Glad you're up and running!
